Starting 2011 in full faith

Before 2011 started, Ganns and I believed in faith that this year will be a year of refreshing and deliverance. We both prayed that 2011 will be a time when the Lord will equip us for his greater work. With the help of our church, Victory Christian Fellowship, we are starting the year in faith and anticipation for what the Lord will do in our lives through the Seven Days of Prayer and Fasting. Eclectic Blueberry Cream Cheese Tarts

I went to Tagaytay for a wedding last December and came home with a box of blueberry tarts from Rowena’s. My son, Nathan, loved them so much and asked if I can make some for him. I never made tarts before but I do know how they are made since I read about them from Julia Child and saw countless demonstrations on cooking channels. I ended up baking a batch of blueberry tarts from a recipe which combines ideas from Paula Deen, my “Favorite Foods at your Fingertips” cookbook and another website that I can’t remember anymore. Changing Education Paradigms

The Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Management, and Commerce has created a brilliant blow-by-blow caricature to accompany a portion of the talk by Sir Ken Robinson, world-renowned education and creativity expert. A recipient of the RSA’s Benjamin Franklin award, Robinson’s talk resonated with me because of its “education and factory” metaphor to illustrate how traditional educational services are delivered. I believe this model, while practical, is not responsive to the current needs of the 21st Century learner.
